Alternating current electricity is an electric current in which the polarity of the charge reverses (or alternates), as opposed to direct current where the polarity of the charge remains consistent. It is caused by an industrial generation process in which a magnet is rotated inside several coils, forcing a current through the coils which reverses as each opposite pole of the magnet passes the coils. Alternating current is entirely man-made and does not occur in nature. In ecological terms, it's an abomination. We use alternating current because it is easier to produce and more efficient to transmit, but we never stop to think of the grave da
